Primary Mining: Silver, Lead, Copper, Zinc
Secondary Mining: Gold, Uranium

Singer Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

It's difficult to locate the boundary  between Singer and Tiffin Mines.  I've seen mines side by side, but this is the first and only mine that comes to mind with  one claim above the other.  Tiffin Mine begins at the base.  Singer Mine begins about halfway up and Tiffin Mine picks up and continues above Singer Mine.  It's an odd arrangement they had with many portions of the individual mines connecting.

Singer Mine has at least half a dozen portals.  Some only go back a few feet, but most contain at least one winze (shaft dug within an adit to explore lower levels).   We have confirmed two winze's that do connect to the  lower Tiffin Mine.  We have yet to explore all lower levels, but we suspect most connect to the lower Tiffin MIne.

During our most recent trip to the Singer and Tiffin Mines we were able to confirm our previous suspicion.  We began our descent from the highest portal of Tiffin Mine less than 100 feet from the peak.  Using three sets of rope we were able to exit the surface level at Tiffin Mine without exiting.  Some ways down were less obvious than others.  There was nothing remarkable along the way, so it's not a climb I would recommend.  It's not worth the risk or energy.
