The most complete guide to Southern Nevada's mining history.

Red Cloud Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

The two known collar shafts of this mine have been sealed.  There are still a few standing structures on site including a partial mill and tanks we believe were part of the gold cyanidation process which was a chemical process of using cyanide to remove gold from low grade ore.  We are unsure of the dangers or duration of cyanide.  Best to stay clear of this one.
