Lavina Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

Lavina Mine looked promising with 3 or 4 open portals, but none had any significant depth.  In the valley below, there appeared to be an incomplete trail carved into the hillside, but with a closer look the area was mined.  At best, this mine should be classified as a surface prospect.
