The most complete guide to Southern Nevada's mining history.

Anchor Mine is located South of Las Vegas, Nevada. Nearest towns are Jean, Nevada,  Goodsprings, Nevada  and Sandy Valley, Nevada. Primary mining in the area included: copper, lead, silver, gold and zinc.

We have yet to explore the main upper workings of this mine because it is posted "Private Property".  Reports from others who have crossed the posted barriers say the mine is still open.  The lower base camp of the mine has many relics to view including a water tank and sluice embedded in concrete.

Other sites have images available of the upper mine workings, but we encourage others to respect property rights. We're attempting to contact the claim owners for permission to enter the site.
