The most complete guide to Southern Nevada's mining history.

Thanks to the group regulars and the few first timers for joining us for this return to Clark Mountain.    We were last here as a group just over two years ago.  Our objective for the day was to reach mines we were unable to reach the last time we were there and revisit some familiar places.

I would say this was another successful event.  Having a confirmed mountain lion with cubs sighting in the area, I did want to clear the suspected dens.  Honestly, I kind of wanted to see one, but nothing was seen and the day was mostly uneventful.  Having no exciting stories to tell is good news.

Once again, I have to apologize for being less than healthy that day.  I thought I was getting over bronchitis, but here we are almost a week later and I'm still getting over it.  Because of my decreased lung capacity, my hiking and climbing endurance wasn't able to keep up with the group.  Hopefully, I'll be better and more social the next time we meet.
